How health coaching can help you

One doesn’t need to be diagnosed with an acute disease in order to decide to improve their health or overall wellness. If you’re eager to make real and quality changes to your life, then this blog post is for you.

In today’s world, we live with:

  • Our first worldwide pandemic

  • Chronic diseases responsible for 7 out of 10 deaths in the United States

  • The first generation of kids that is expected to live shorter life spans than their parents

To top it of, research also suggests that the poor diet and lifestyle choices we make today won’t just affect us: they’ll also affect our kids and probably grandkids as well.

Preventing and reversing chronic disease is not only the best way to improve our health span, it’s also the best way to protect ourselves against the current pandemic - or any future ones. To prevent and reverse chronic diseases, we need to address the mismatch between our modern diet, lifestyle, the environment, and our basic human biology. Also, when our life is out of balance, that’s when we tend to make poor choices for our health.

Health coaching empowers you to identify the areas of your life where there might be an imbalance and help you create your own solution to your unique problems . Health coaching allows you to see your life and choices from a different perspective. You get more clarity and insights into the life you want for yourself.  Making real, lasting lifestyle and behavior change isn’t as easy as the flip of a switch. It takes ongoing effort and support. This is where a health and wellness coach will help you.

I work with individuals who want to improve their health and  well-being. As a health and wellness coach, I provide a framework to create long-lasting healthy habits and support changes - based on your circumstances. As a result of our sessions, my clients craft practical steps to help them reach their goals and monitor their progress. I have a comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Coaching techniques to support you so you can change the beliefs and habits that are getting in the way of your goals and dreams.

  • Somatic techniques to connect your body and mind: by engaging your whole system during the coaching process, you get to integrate the change process in both body and mind.

  • Human behavior and functional health: we’re going to look at your life and your body as a system where any imbalance has a root cause and needs to be uncovered and addressed.

Well-being is not a destination: it’s a dynamic process. Health derives from Old English ‘hælth’, which is related to ‘whole’: What is missing in your life today to feel ‘whole’? I thrive to help my clients uncover that answer for themselves.
